When guitar players hear the name Big Muff, chances are most of them will immediately hear the iconic sound that made this pedal so notorious echoing inside their minds. Today, there is a whole platter of clones available to us in a large variety of different flavours, but fundamentally, they all pay tribute to the classic character of the original Big Muff.

The birth of the Kasleder Yeti Drive was inspired by the first incarnations of Big Muff pedals, but instead of it being just another clone, there is something more mysterious and sinister hiding under its bonnet, giving it a unique tone and drive texture. Typically, most Muffs are voiced with a very heavy low-end and piercing highs, however, their mid-range is usually very „scooped” and hollow. In order to create a less obtrusive and better balanced sound spectrum, the frequency range of the Yeti Drive has been re-tailored to give a tighter low-end, gentler highs and a slight hump in the mid-range, making the sound extremely controllable and versatile, allowing it to cut through the mix a whole lot better.

The light blue Yeti Drive pedal is the low-gain member of the Yeti family. An unorthodox, 3 transistor circuit, gives a very refreshing twist to the classic Big Muff story. The unique drive texture is shaped by the rare NOS silicon diodes and vintage NOS silicon transistors. Regardless of your instrument and amplifier, this pedal can be used very effectively in a large variety of musical styles.

We recommend the Yeti range to guitar players who not only love traditional tones, but are brave enough to experiment with new sound textures as well.
